Terms of Service
- 1. Who we are and what this covers. These terms apply to your use of this website and to the purchase and use of The Okay Method, an online dog training course (the “Course”). In these terms, “we” and “us” mean The Okay Method. By buying or using the Course, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not buy or use it.
- 2. What you are buying. The Course is a digital product: written lessons, guides, checklists, trackers and printable materials, delivered online. You get access for your own personal use. Nothing is shipped to you.
- 3. Educational content only. The Course is general educational content about training dogs with rewards. It is not veterinary, medical, behavioral-therapy or professional training advice, and it is not tailored to your dog. It does not replace a veterinarian or a qualified trainer.
- 4. Your dog's health and safety. Before you start, check with your veterinarian that your dog is healthy enough for training and treats. Dogs can bite, scratch, run off or get hurt, especially when scared or excited. You are responsible for your dog and for keeping people, animals and property safe. If your dog shows aggression, bites, or shows signs of severe fear or anxiety, stop and consult a veterinarian or a qualified behavior professional.
- 5. No guaranteed results. Every dog is different. Age, history, breed, health and how consistently you practice all affect results. We do not promise any particular outcome or timeframe. Lesson targets and checkpoints are guides, not deadlines or guarantees.
- 6. Your assumption of risk. You use the Course and carry out the exercises at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, you accept responsibility for how you apply what you learn.
- 7. Personal license and no sharing. When you buy, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use the Course for yourself and your household. You may not share your access link, resell, copy, publish, redistribute or teach the Course material to others for payment. You may print pages for your own use.
- 8. Intellectual property. The Course content, text, design, images and materials belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. Buying the Course does not transfer any ownership to you.
- 9. Prices, payment and taxes. Prices are shown at checkout. The Course is a one-time purchase: there is no subscription and no recurring charge. Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider, on its own secure page. We do not see or store your full card details. Applicable sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
- 10. Refunds. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. The details are in the Refund Policy below.
- 11. Acceptable use. Do not misuse the website or the Course. That includes trying to bypass payment or access controls, sharing or selling your access, copying material to resell it, attempting to break or overload the site, or using it in a way that breaks the law. We may suspend or end access for anyone who does.
- 12. Availability and changes. We try to keep the site and the Course available, but we cannot promise it will always run without interruption or errors. We may update, improve or change the Course and the site from time to time.
- 13. Disclaimer of warranties. The Course and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about fitness for a particular purpose or about specific results.
- 14. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for injury, damage or loss involving a dog, person or property that arises from using the Course. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Course is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or liability that cannot be limited by law.
- 15. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. The version published here, with its date, applies to purchases made after it appears. Your use of the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
- 16. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws that apply where we are based, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer rights in your own country or state are not affected.
- 17. Contact. Questions about these terms? Contact us using the email address on your payment receipt or on the checkout page.
Refund Policy
- 14-day guarantee. If The Okay Method is not right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund the full price you paid. No lengthy explanation needed.
- How to ask. Contact us using the email address on your payment receipt or on the checkout page. Include the email address you used to pay.
- How refunds are paid. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Your bank or card provider can take several business days to show it. Any sales tax charged on the purchase is refunded too.
- After a refund. Once refunded, your access to the Course ends. You may not keep or share the materials.
- Fair use. The guarantee is for people who tried the Course in good faith. We may decline repeated refund requests from the same person or refunds where the Course was copied or shared.
- Payment problems. If you were charged twice or by mistake, contact us right away and we will fix it.
Privacy Policy
- What we collect when you buy. When you pay, Stripe collects your payment details and billing information on its own secure page. We receive a confirmation of the payment, your name and email address, and, where needed for tax, your billing country or postal code. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your account and progress. Before you buy, you create an account with your email and a password. We link your purchase to it. We store the password only in scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot read it. Your ticks, notes, worksheet answers and dog profile are saved in your browser and, while you are signed in, copied to your account so they follow you between devices. We use them only to run the Course for you.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may process basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use browser storage to save your progress. We also use one cookie that keeps you signed in and remembers that you have bought the Course. It is used only for that purpose. We do not use advertising cookies.
- How we use information. We use it to deliver the Course, process and confirm your purchase, provide support, handle refunds, meet tax and legal duties, and keep the site working and secure.
- Who we share it with. We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, such as Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting and data storage, and Resend for sending sign-in emails. They may only use it to provide their services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
- How long we keep it. We keep purchase records for as long as we need them for support, refunds, accounting and legal requirements, then delete them or remove identifying details.
- Your choices and rights. You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, except where we must keep it by law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. Contact us using the email on your receipt.
- Children. The Course is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- Security. We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards, but no online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Changes to this policy. We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
